私が描写するポートレートは、その一点への集中に努めるものである。

そして、その根底に流れる理念は「存在認知」であり、心理学用語で「ストローク」とも呼ばれるその定義とは、

「あなたがそこにいることを、私は知っている。」​

The portraits I create are devoted to a singular focus.

At their core flows the philosophy of acknowledging existence—

what psychology refers to as a stroke, defined as:

“I know that you are there.”

人の心は「ストローク」がないと生きていけない。 心理学用語で「存在認知」とも言われるその定義とは「あなたがそこにいることを、わたしは知っている」。存在認知（ストローク）をコンセプトに私が撮影するポートレートは、人が自分の存在を生きるためのきっかけや気づきを得るものでもあり、（本人も含め）ポートレートを見る側との信頼関係の構築やストロークの交換を目的としたものである。その写真の可能性はプロフィール写真のみならず、自他を含める大切な人に宛てた深いストロークとメッセージであり、状況によってはグリーフケアのサポートに至るまで、人々の心に深く貢献できるものである。

 

Human beings cannot live without “strokes.”

In psychological terms, this is also known as existence recognition, which is defined as: “I know that you are there.”

The portraits I create, based on this concept of existence recognition (strokes), offer people moments of realisation and opportunities to live their own existence more fully.

They are not only a means of building trust and exchanging strokes between the subject and the viewer, but also hold the potential to support grief care and to deliver heartfelt strokes and messages to important people—including both oneself and others.

I believe that these portraits can serve a purpose far beyond profile photographs, contributing meaningfully to many people’s lives.
